ADMIN. COMMITTEES: Constitution, Finance, ELECTIONS

 The Constitution and Bylaws Committee shall function to examine and consider proposed changes in the constitutional codes of this Society. This committee shall be charged with presenting proposed changes in or amendments to the Constitution and Bylaws of this Society. It shall be the responsibility of the Constitution and Bylaws Committee to mail notices of proposed amendments to the Constitution and/or Bylaws thirty (30) days prior to the date of the annual meeting. 

 The Finance Committee shall prepare the annual budget for this Society. It shall, by a majority vote, approve budget changes and financial support of special projects. It shall work in close liaison with the treasurer and the president of this Society. 

The Nominations and Elections Committee shall be made up of three (3) active members of this Society. These members are to be elected from the list of eligible members of this Society at the annual meeting. The term of service for the Nominations and Elections Committee shall be for one (1) year, a member may be re-elected, but no member may serve more than three (3) consecutive years. No Officer, Board member, elected or appointed representative of this Society may serve on the Nominations and Elections Committee. The duties of this committee are as follows:

1. Selection of qualified and eligible candidates for the offices of president- elect, secretary/treasurer, board member, and nominations committee chair and two committee member positions. The committee must submit at least one nominee for each office.

2. Notification to members of this Society of the nominees for each office at least thirty (30) days prior to the annual meeting.

3. Notification to members of this Society that nominations may be accepted from the floor at the annual meeting.

4. Contact the eligible members to be nominated to assure their willingness to serve in the capacity for which they are to be nominated.
